At the Foot & Leg Centre, we focus just on Foot Mobilisation Therapy to assist you and relieve your pain and have practiced it for 20 years. During this time we have further developed and refined the therapy and techniques to ensure we provide best outcomes to your foot and leg pain.
The practice of Foot Mobilisation Techniques is a specifically developed form of manual therapy aimed at improving your foot and leg functionality. FMT targets joints of your foot and ankle, which are stiff, poorly aligned or dysfunctional and aims to gradually restore the way they work. This is achieved through a series of 'hands on' treatment sessions with us in conjunction with a specific exercise regime we prescribe.
Foot Mobilisation is not a new therapy by any means, and the physiology of it is taught in physio, chiropractic and podiatry degrees across Australian universities. The practice of Foot Mobilisation Therapy is also recognised and accepted by the Australasian Podiatry Council and the Podiatry Registration Boards.
Where the Foot & Leg Centre differs is that we have worked exclusively in the area of Foot Mobilisation Therapy for the last two decades to help our clients move to pain free feet.
Foot Mobilisation Therapy is a very gentle therapy that does not require surgery, medicine or orthotics. And although it is primarily aimed at the foot, associated pain is also a key component of our work, including hips, knees, ankles and lower back – all those areas that are connected with the foot.
